Erntedankfest-Aktion 2023
Die ersten beiden Wochen im Oktober waren bei MUT geprägt von der Erntedankfest-Aktion. Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten unterstützen uns Kirchengemeinden, indem wir die Lebensmittel, die zum Erntedankfest die Kirchenräume schmücken, abholen dürfen. In diesem Jahr fuhren unsere Abholteams an den beiden Sonntagen bzw. Montagen 25 Kirchen an.
Im Anschluss wurden die Lebensmittel zentral sortiert.
Die verderblichen brachten wir in die Haller Schuppachburg und teilweise zu ukrainischen Familien, die unverderblichen wurden in Gitterpaletten verpackt, die das Beladen und Abladen des LKWs wesentlich erleichtern.
Parallel wurden auch Familienpakete
zusammengepackt, die von unseren Leuten, die zeitgleich mit dem LKW, mit dem MUT-Bussle inkl. Anhänger nach Rumänien gefahren sind, persönlich an arme Familien verteilt wurden.
Leider gab es in diesem Jahr für den LKW am Zoll Probleme, die aber - Gott sei Dank - mit viel Geduld und langem Atem gelöst werden konnten.

Wir danken auch an dieser Stelle allen Kirchengemeinden, die wieder mitgemacht haben!
Teilweise wurden wir anlässlich des Erntedankfestes auch mit einem Opfer bedacht. Dieses Geld wird in diesem Jahr für die Armenspeisung in Togo verwendet, wo sich die Verteuerung der Lebensmittel auch ziemlich bemerkbar macht. Immer mehr Kinder kommen zum Essen, da sie sich zu Hause nicht mehr satt essen können!
Ein herzliches Dankeschön geht an dieser Stelle auch an alle ehrenamtlichen Helferinnen und Helfer. Es braucht viele Hände, die bei einer solchen Aktion mitmachen.
Unsere jüngste Unterstützerin war Lena Hoppe, die hier gemeinsam mit Uli Jäger Lebensmittel in der Westheimer Kirche eingepackt hat.
